
"Obese Girls With Greater Ratio of Visceral Fat Have Lower Bone Density" CHEVY CHASE, Md -- March 3, 2010 -- According to a study appearing in an upcoming issue of the [Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism, obese teenage girls with a greater ratio of visceral fat to subcutaneous fat are likely to have lower bone density than peers with a lower ratio of visceral to subcutaneous fat.
