Metabolic Syndrome: Could You Have It?

Millions of Americans have a health condition that could increase their risk of developing 10 other serious medical problems, and they don’t even know it. The condition is called metabolic syndrome (also known as syndrome Xor insulin resistance syndrome), and it may affect as many as 47 million Americans.
The list of health problems that metabolic syndrome can lead to is long and concerning. It doubles a person's risk of both heart attack and stroke and also may lead to cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), fatty liver disease, cholesterol gallstones, asthma, and even some forms of cancer.
But here's the good news: Adding a brisk walk to your routine every day may be enough to help stop this syndrome -- and all of the accompanying health ills -- in its tracks.

Unfortunately, most of the symptoms of metabolic syndrome operate silently and are hardly noticeable from the outside. Finding out if you have the syndrome requires knowing several health measures obtained only through medical testing. Ask yourself the following questions to help determine whether a doctor's visit is in order:

HP student 45 day Progress Report

When she started the programme, Aina weigh-in at 76 kgs and her body fat was 49.5%. After completing her first cycle of 45 days, her weight was down to 71.6kgs and her body fat% is now 44 %. She has successfully reduced her weight by 4.4kgs (9.68 lbs) and her body fat % by 5.55%.

She is very excited about her results and now she wants to continue on the second cycle.

Well done Aina, keep it up! We are excited for you and we look forward to the completion of your second cycle.

Bowling fun with Healthpointe advisers in Singapore

Last Sunday 31st May 2009,  our chief coach, Shaw Jean was in Singapore to conduct a customer's workshop. Shaw Jean also met with the Healthpointe advisers to share the latest news and growth of Healthpointe in the region.

After the session, we had a fun an enjoyable bowling session. It was the perfect opportunity for the advisers to socialise and have some fun.

We will have regularly monthly gathering of leaders who are excited about Healthpointe to help people to stay healthy and also as a business with great potential.

Visceral fat is different from other body fat. Visceral fat, also called intra-abdominal fat, refers to the fat that surrounds the internal organs. Before HP. Hamdan weighs 81.2kg and his body fat% was 29.2%

After 45 days of HP programme


He look so much younger, his weight is now 75.8kg and his body fat% is 24.8%, a drop of 5.4kg and 4.4% respectively. Hamdan feels more energetic and does not tire easily now. He don't feel breathless anymore, when he runs.
